I have been shopping at this shop for over 5 year's but I will definitely not be going there ever again.. Janet the owner is a nasty rude woman. Refused to let me exchange my purchase which I bought a couple of weeks ago as it was damaged. She refused point blank to give me a refund. Bad customer service along with verbal nastiness pointing at me and my mother in law. Needless to say that either of us will never go back in the shop again.

Lovely ladies clothing

I was in this shop today and don't know what some people expect, it was the owner and she was so helpful and pleasant and also her prices are very reasonable compared to the same things elsewhere. I was spoilt for choice but eventually chose an outfit with her help,I would be grateful to her if she told me it was too young for me being a smart looking lady I thought, will definitely go again.

I bought an item which I had tried on in a hurry. The following day I came to wear the jumper and the thread on the cuff which joins it to the sleeve had come loose and a small hole had formed. The item was faulty.I tried to return the item to be informed that only the owner could offer me a refund and I would have to return when she was in.I returned when the owner was working and asked for a refund. She refused saying the item had been reduced and the hole was not there when I tried it on. She was implying that I had caused the fault which was not the case. I explained I had not noticed it and the thread had become loose which would only cause the hole to grow. If the item was reduced because of a fault legally she has to put that on the price tag. She refused to give me a refund.I left the shop and read the Consumers Rights Act of 2015. I found that the item should be Fit for Purpose and last for A Reasonable Amount of Time. I returned to the shop asking for a refund as the item and her refusal was in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. She completely refused saying that this happens to her lots of times and this time she was not giving me a refund. I told her that she was breaking the law and left me with no choice other than to report her to Trading Standards. She acknowledged that she knew she was breaking the law and said "Go on report me".This is a factual account of what happened, I agree with the negative comments above regarding her lack of professionalism. To openly admit as a business that you know you are breaking the law is shocking. Bottom line, would I recommend to friends and family, absolutely not! Save your money and shop else where.

I have been visiting this shop for many years now on and off. I usually try to avoid if the owner is in because she can be rude and pushy. I know that she has offended older shoppers by pointing them away from clothes that she considers to be too young for them! She also tries to force you to comment on various items of clothing that she fishes out randomly when you are trying to quietly look round. I have heard tell that she is known for opening the changing room with you in it to see what you're up to whether you are dressed or not and whether there are other customers in there or not. Very embarrassing. I have experienced this myself and I never try things on there now as she also demands to see what you look like once you've got the garment on! I recently visited with my 9 year old daughter who has never been in before and the owner watched her suspiciously like a hawk the whole time which made the poor girl feel very uncomfortable. How Rude! BEWARE.
